Social medias nowadays are more often then not a simple facade. We try to depict our life in the most favorable way. We carefully select images to post, to project a positive, yet unrealistic image of ourselves to be scrutinized by everyone. When I ask to photograph someone, there is always a precise reason behind it. For Lilly, it was her use of Instagram, and the aura she projects.
Unlike the vast majority of people, Lilly seems to be totally beyond the judgment of others, posting whatever she wants without thinking twice. This sense of freedom can be felt through her pictures, and that's what led me to invite her on a photoshoot.
All the outfits and poses were her ideas, making my job quite easy. I often slowed down the shutter speed to get some motion blur, as I wanted the pictures to be liberated from typical conventions, tumultuous and free, like Lilly herself.
